The first Jasper Conran at Wedgwood collection was launched in 2001 to huge acclaim. Fortunately, we did not have to wait long for more:

I started with a simple white fine bone china range, concentrating on the shapes. Layering on that, I have moved into other areas that are slightly more ornate and fun. To me the collection as a whole says British tradition and yet contemporary.

The pattern recalls the Chinese porcelains which were to inspire English ceramic designers in the 18th and 19th centuries, whose work inspired Jasper Conrans decidedly 21st-century collection.

Whether you prefer the relative calm of Chinoiserie on a white background, or the vibrant green statement, you’ll discover that Jasper Conrans original white collection is the perfect foil. Platinum-lined green pieces sit particularly well with his Platinum collection.

Wedgwood fine bone china is very strong and resilient. It benefits from being used, so take every opportunity to enjoy it. You can wash this tableware by hand or in a dishwasher, warm it gently in the oven to 100°C and even put it in the freezer. Take care when washing, stacking or taking out your Chinoiserie not to scrape or knock one piece against another; and avoid sudden changes in temperature.
